Ice Climbing

Can you imagine yourself climbing the Khumba Icefall on Mount Everest? Luckily, you don't have to go to Nepal for some excellent ice climbing as you can learn to Ice Climb in the magnificent Canadian Rockies under the supervision of our expert instructors. Hack your way up an icefall with ice axes and dig your crampons into the blue ice. On this course you will learn to tie into the rope, belay, proper uses of crampons and ice axes, and ice climbing technique. Lessons are available for all abilities in the Banff and Canmore areas. This Experience is available mid-December through until April, with the optimum season being mid-December to mid-March. All technical equipment (boots, crampons, ice tools, harness & helmet) is supplied.

A Waiver of Liability must be read and signed before participation. Accommodation and meals are not included in Outdoor Ice Climbing Intro Course but low cost, easy options exist which we can tell you about.
