Lake Ontario and the mighty Niagara River are home to some of the very best fishing trips in Ontario and the best freshwater sport-fishing to be found anywhere on the Great Lakes, and quite probably throughout the whole of North America. Trophy King (Chinook) Salmon, Coho Salmon, Atlantic Salmon, Steelhead, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Musky and more abound in our waters.

The stark contrast between the mighty Niagara River and Lake Ontario provides two phenomenally diverse fisheries on our doorstep, giving us the flexibility to offer equally diverse options and custom packages tailored to our clients’ individual needs. From half-day charters to complete fishing vacations and getaways, our friendly and professional guides and have the necessary knowledge and experience to keep you on top of the fish, and our boats were specifically chosen to help ensure your comfort and safety.

You can choose to fish Lake Ontario’s open waters from the comfort and safety of our 26’ Thompson boat, or the Niagara River from our 21’ Lund Pro V boat. Both fisheries offer world-class sport fishing opportunities for a wide variety of species. If poor weather prevents us from venturing out onto Lake Ontario, or if the Niagara River is too discoloured, we have the flexibility to offer you an alternative so that you can still spend your day out fishing. No experience is necessary and beginners are welcome.

Lake Ontario is a vast, open body of water much like any of the Great Lakes, and most of our fish are caught trolling either crank baits, spoons, cut-bait or flasher and fly combos. We also employ downriggers, planer boards, “Dipsy” divers, leadcore lines, wire lines, and a variety of other techniques and accessories. Of course our guides will explain everything and teach you how to use the equipment so that you can land that fish of a lifetime.

Half Day Fishing the Niagara River for 1 person

Fishing on the Niagara River mainly takes place on the “Lower” river (below Niagara Falls) along the 15Km stretch between the “Devil’s Hole” and the Niagara Bar. The spectacular scenery, the beauty of the Niagara Gorge, the massive structure of the Hydro generating plants, and the fearsome currents of this mighty river make just being on the water an exciting and memorable experience in itself. Many guests have commented that the fishing is just the “icing on the cake”.Most of our fishing on the river is drift-fishing with either bait, lures, or jigs, although we do occasionally anchor, troll, or float-fish depending upon the primary species sought. Again, our guides are always there to offer advice and fish-catching tips.
