B.S.R. Formula Pursuit Racing

Have you always wanted to be behind the wheel of a racing car in a competitive race series? Well now you can in a safe and fun environment going head-to-head with your competitors in a tournament style pursuit format!

You will experience the thrill of pursuit competition behind the wheel of an F2000 Open Wheel Race Car, coached and directed by the 4 time Indy Lights Champion Brian Stewart Racing Team; the same team that developed 1990 Indylights and 2003 CART champion Driver Paul Tracey and the 1998 Indylights, 2002 CART Champion and Toyota Formula One World Championship Driver Christiano Da Matta.

Our professional driver coaches will guide you through the competition experience to enhance your skills and thrill your senses.

The day starts with an in-class coaching session and track walk. You then climb into the car for your practice session where you can try some of the skills you have just been taught. Your second session is a timed qualifying session which serves to set up the positions on the grid for the first competition round, in which two cars start at opposing ends of the race track. The Green Flag is waved and it's time to pursue your opponent. You will be visually aware of your position in the race at all times. You take the Checkered Flag the winner is recorded and you both move on to the next round of competition.

This all day event is limited to 16 participants. All participants are guaranteed 5 in-car sessions with bonus time for the eventual Champion and Consolation Winners.

Trophies are awarded with photos and podium presentations.

A waiver of liability must be signed prior to participation.
Previous experience with manual transmission is required.

Other Important Information

On August 26th, we hosted Round Two of the 2011 Pursuit Series in Barrie Ontario at our Molson Center Complex track. The weather was a perfect 27 degrees and sunny. The 12 driver line up began the day with a warm up session, followed by the qualifying round to determine positions for the double elimination with wildcard tournament. Each driver was guaranteed five rounds before elimination. Then we were down to the final two drivers who competed in the Championship Pursuit Race.
In the final Pursuit Race, Michael Hosking came out on top with the win! He celebrated with a bottle of champagne and won a $100 gift certificate for his next visit back plus an invitation to the upcoming "All Champion Pursuit Event!"
There was so much driving time for every driver we had two drivers retire early due to physical exhaustion. A great memory for all participants who now have a new appreciation for the sport of Motor Racing.

Events will take place rain or shine. If however the conditions are severe and create an unsafe condition we will delay the event and attempt to complete the same day. If this is not possible an alternate date will be scheduled. If the event is partially completed the remaining sessions will be rescheduled.

Other Restrictions

This event requires a minimum of 8 participants. You are welcome to attend as an individual but please keep in mind you will be sharing your Experience with others.
In the unlikely event that the minimum number of participants is not met at least two weeks prior to the scheduled date you will be contacted in order to arrange for you to attend an alternative date.
