At Home Exploring Wine Varieties for up to 12

This Exploring Wine Varieties Experience is ideal for those who have discovered a passion for wine, but want to expand their knowledge beyond the traditional noble wine varieties.

Hosted in the comfort of your own home or business and suitable for up to 12 participants, your Wine Education Director will take you on a visual presentation together with a flight of 8 very different wines focusing on non-noble wine varieties.  Some examples of these would include Malbec, Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese, Torrontes, Viognier, Nero D’Avola, Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Franc.  There are numerous wine varieties used throughout the world, and many of them are native to only certain countries.  Many of these varietals make wonderful wines, and we want to introduce these to you in order to expand your love of wine, as well as your knowledge of the subject!

Many wine aficionados are stuck in the Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chardonnay box when it comes to making wine choices.  The Exploring Wine Varieties Experience will take you out of this box you’ve painted yourself into, and open you up to a whole world of wonderful wine waiting for you to discover!

Following a consultation with our Wine Education Director, your workshop will focus on a range of varieties, for example:

Chenin Blanc Albarino Gamay Sangiovese Touriga Nacional Malbec

Grüner Sylvaner Pinot Blanc Negroamaro Trincadeira Aglianico Tawny Port

Viognier Sémillon Grenache/Garnacha Mourvèdre Petit Syrah Tempranillo

Your Exploring Wine Varieties workshop includes:

This event is available within 40km of 1 Yonge Street, Toronto. Greater distance is available, but there will be an additional charge based on how far the event is from downtown Toronto.
Participants must be 19 years of age or older.
We are unable to reschedule cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to a scheduled booking.
