- You pay ten dollarsOnce, through PayPal, in Canadian dollars. There is no account and no subscription.
- An address is allocatedThe next free number on the street. It is yours and it is never reused, even if the street is rebuilt.
- The shopfront is drawnA machine draws it from your details in the street’s one locked style, so it belongs to the street rather than standing out from it.
- It goes upUsually within a few minutes. From then on it is simply there.
Questions
Is this a real street?
No. It is an illustrated one, online, and it is as long as the businesses on it make it. The counter measures the combined frontage of every shopfront, which is a real number even though the street is not a real place.
Is my shopfront a picture of my actual premises?
No. It is an illustration drawn from your trade and your name, in a single consistent style. It is meant to look like your shop could look, not like your shop does look.
What happens if I do not like it?
Tell us and we will redraw it once. A machine drawing is cheap; an unhappy business on a street that is meant to be charming is not.
Do I have to renew?
No. Ten dollars is paid once. There is no subscription, no expiry and nothing to cancel.
Who can buy a shopfront?
Canadian businesses. We refuse anything we would not want a child to scroll past, and we refuse anything unlawful. That judgement is ours and it is not negotiable at ten dollars.
Are these recommendations?
No. Every shopfront on this street is paid for. Nothing here is an independent endorsement of anybody, and the street says so on its front page.
